Schedule a rejuvenating session in our Clearlight Infrared Sauna. The infrared heat raises your core body temperature and stimulates your:
Recover faster and get to your next workout sooner with infrared heat, which penetrates deeper into your muscles and joints than steam or Epson salt baths. Get ready to sweat and let your tension melt away with a 30-, 45-, or 60-minute session.
How do I book a recovery session?
Go to this link and click Session Booking. Then, select Infrared Sauna or Normatec Boot Session to sign up for your recovery service.
When is the best time to use these recovery services?
These recovery services can be used at any time after a workout! However, for maximum effectiveness, we recommend that you use the NormaTec boots WITHIN 24-48 hours of a workout and the sauna AFTER 12 –24 hours or when you’ve fully cooled down from your workout.
Can these services be used even while I am dealing with an injury?
For most musculoskeletal injuries, yes! In fact, the sauna may actually help relax your nervous system and thus relax muscles that may be guarding against pain. That being said, we recommend you speak to one of our physical therapists prior to use.
Are there any conditions under which I should not be using these devices?
Contraindications for the NormaTec boots include acute cardiovascular conditions, such as pulmonary edemas or CHF, as well as injuries that include bone fractures or dislocations. You should not use the sauna if you are pregnant or have any acute injuries that are swollen and angry. Please speak to one of your physical therapists if you're not sure!
What should I wear and bring?
For the NormaTec boots, we recommend wearing shorts or thin tights, as well as socks. For the Infrared sauna, you can wear whatever you feel most comfortable sweating in, but we highly recommend bring a complete change of clothes to go home in. We will have towels for you to use. For both activities, but especially the sauna, please make sure to hydrate well before, during, and after the session.
Do you accept insurance or offer a cash rate for appointments? What about FSA/HAS?
In order to use your insurance to work with a Therapist at MOTIVNY, your plan needs to have Out-of-Network benefits. Good news! We’re happy to check on that for you, and clearly state all of your out-of-pocket expenses before your appointment. No Out-of-Network? We’ll happily work with you to use your HSA, FSA, or other means of self-paying for your visits. Keep in mind that some HSA/FSA will require you to submit your receipts.
